Quote from the Livestream
Building a website is not always an easy thing to do, and it takes a lot of creativity. It takes a lot of time and thought, and sometimes it takes coding and getting some help from web designers.
The website I’m going to talk about today requires very little of that time and effort. You simply enter your RSS feeds and boom! You have a website.
In my implementation program called Livecast Lifestyle, which you can find at program.AGKMedia.Studio, I have many new students. One of the things that I talked about in the course video is how to create a website to host all of your content in one place.
We were using a product called Podpage and I was considering changing over to a different product. I’ve done that and I promised in the course that if I did that, I’m going to do a show about it. I’m going to let you know that I changed over and how that all works.
That is the main reason I am doing this post. But also I want to help anybody who has questions about content creation and how to be consistent with your content creation. Anything content marketing.
If you have questions, if you want to know about tools or how I do certain things, please leave me a comment or a question, and I would love to help you out with my tips and tools.
Content creators who are doing the livestream video first framework that I recommend are producing livestream videos, which end up as recorded videos, podcasts, and blogs.
You’ve got to have somewhere to put all of that content.
One link where you can get everything.
Why are we doing all of this work?
We want to grow our audience.
We want to grow our brand, and we want to grow our business.
Toby and I have been livestreaming videos for a really long time. We have built AGK Media Studio and all of our coaching packages and digital products starting in April 2021.
Now we are beginning to gain momentum and grow our business.
Some of the research that we shared with you from The Tilt, HubSpot or Salesforce, tells us that for content creators who are building a business, it takes about 18 months of being consistent to start making money. That’s where we’re at.
We’re growing our audience, we’re growing our brand, and we’re growing our business through content marketing.
We use content marketing because we want to engage with our viewers, our listeners, and our readers. We hope that people who find us through our content will want to engage by showing up for the livestream or scheduling a video chat to have a conversation.
We want that engagement so we can understand what it is that you want to know.
What can we help you with?
How can we help you take action on some of those things where you’re feeling stuck?
We want to offer our free and paid digital products so that we can give you help in many different ways.
You can purchase a course from us, get our free downloads, you can work with us as your coach, or we can do production for you.
Digital products that you can offer as a content creator include free downloads, which is what you want to start with to grow your email list.
Then you can build courses, put together eBooks, and record webinars and workshops.
You can charge for those and start to bring in money to keep you going.
Ebooks and courses are easy to do when you’re putting out content every week. Simply gather some content that goes together in a theme and put a label on it.
We want to put all of our content in one place so that people can find it.
Go to one link and everything is there.
You have access to our videos, audio, blog posts, and all of our digital products, including our free downloads.
Everything is in one place so you don’t have to go hunting around for it.
We want it to be automatic.
So if you’re putting out content every week, you don’t want to spend a lot of time updating your website and putting out social media posts. You want to have a lot of automation in place to free up your time.
All your latest digital content can go onto one website.
You can also offer things for sale.
Use a paywall or a subscription sign up, so people can pay once or they can pay monthly.
If they subscribe to your content, patrons can give you donations and you can manage your community and grow your email list when everything is in one place.
Content creators often start off with something like Patreon or Gum Road, but you’re going to end up paying a commission to those sites to host you.
What I prefer to do is use SupaPass.
This is the new product that I started using instead of Podpage because Podpage was great, but it was a monthly subscription.
I purchased SupaPass through AppSumo.
It’s like a website, but it’s just one page. There are clickable links that take you where you need to go. You can customize your design using drag and drop.
You can organize your podcast and your video content into topics. So you have what looks like a Netflix-style site. Visitors can see all of their choices.
If you are on the level that we got through App Sumo, you can use your own domain.
If you go to MessagesAndMethods.com or livecast.life, which is forwarded there, you’ll see our SupaPass website.
Best of all, it automatically updates your website every time you publish any content. That step is taken care of for you.
SupaPass brings all your content together in one place and it gives you many features.
It has a podcast and a site-wide player.
You can create a podcast website in five minutes.
All you have to do is add your RSS feed or the name of your podcast and they’ll import it.
You can also import articles, newsletters, and blogs every time you publish.
You can sell audiobooks, music, digital courses, and all your digital products.
Monetize your content and keep 100% of the sales and patron donations by integrating your Stripe account.
For outreach, they have built-in automatic email notifications and automatic social media updates with Zapier.
Get the audience to comment and subscribe to your site so they get notifications whenever you post anything.
They have amazing customer support that starts with a chat window where you can type in your questions and if they are away at that time, then they will send emails back and forth so that they can answer your questions. You can send them screencaps of what’s going on.
They’ll analyze it and email you back, or you can schedule a video call and they will work through everything with you. There’s no additional charge for that.
They also have a knowledge hub with guides to build your apps & sites.
The SupaPass blog provides ideas and helpful tips for how to grow your business.
SupaPass Academy shows community videos and podcasts.
There is a SupaPass player app that people can download onto their phone or tablet, either iOS or Android.
We like to own rather than rent. We don’t like to pay monthly subscription fees.
That’s why we switched over from Podpage to SupaPass.
We keep our costs as low as we can and still have a really good product.
We purchased the app through AppSumo during a special promotion.
SupaPass also offers a forever free level, which is their introductory level with fewer features, but it is still a free website you can use.
Watch the demonstration on YouTube or click on the link and check it out.
If you are feeling fearful about tech and saying to yourself, this is too much for me.
You may think it’s easy, but I don’t think it’s easy!
Then schedule a chat with me.
We’ll talk about additional coaching or production-done-for-you to see if that would be a fit for you.
Schedule a chat at consulting.AGKMedia.Studio and we can walk you through all of these different processes.
Create a quick and easy website to hold all your content in one place.
When you’re first getting started with consistent content creation, it can be very confusing.
You have your YouTube channel over here, and a podcast over there. You’ve got your blog some place else. You got newsletters, social media, and digital products scattered around.
How do you bring it all together?
SupaPass is a great way to bring it all together. You can share one link with your entire audience that will take them to all of your content.
It’s so much easier than trying to choose, should I send them to the podcast or should I send them to the YouTube channel? Should I send them to the blog? What should be my call to action?
You can put it all in one place, so your call to action is to send them to your content website.
Thank you for joining me today. I hope that you are having a great December.
Toby and I went to a couple of holiday parties this week and we’re having a lot of fun seeing people again, getting out into the world, and sharing some laughs and food together.
I hope the same is true for you as well. Happy Holidays!
