Ah, travel season. That magical time of year when you pack more clothes than you’ll wear, forget your charger, and remember mid-flight that you didn’t pack your emotional regulation toolkit.
But what if we told you that you—yes, you with the tangled earbuds and questionable airport snacks—could manifest smoother travels, unexpected delights, and even dodge a literal sinkhole using nothing more than your vibration and a good attitude?
Spoiler: It happened. To me.
Recently, my husband Toby and I went to North Carolina for a sweet little getaway—a rail bike tour through the mountains. Think: pedal-powered carts on abandoned train tracks, a light mist in the air, and the kind of weather that poets and skincare commercials dream about.
Day one? Glorious. Lunch with my brother, breezy sunshine, good vibes.
Day two? Forecast: thunderstorm apocalypse.
Now, old me might’ve panicked, canceled, or at least had a meltdown over my frizz. But this time, we layered up, stayed positive, and went anyway.
“We showed up ready for anything. And guess what? The worst we got was a soft mist, which felt refreshing as we pedaled through the woods.” – Shelley, on-air
It was incredible. Serene. Dreamy. Not a thunderclap in sight. The ride was smoother than my last Amazon return.
The next morning, we had planned to sleep in and meander home. But both Toby and I woke up at 7 a.m. with this quiet-but-clear knowing: it was time to go.
We listened. We left. We even got a breakfast burrito and coffee.
The next day, we found out that if we’d stuck to the plan, we would’ve driven straight into a hailstorm in Asheville and a 20-mile backup caused by a sinkhole on I-26.
“That kind of accidental perfect timing doesn’t feel like an accident at all. It feels like alignment.” – Shelley
You can’t make this stuff up. Okay—you could, but we didn’t.
In the episode, Jared and Alicia dig deep into why travel brings out the best and worst in us, with a delightful side of science.
“Studies show that just anticipating travel can raise your cortisol levels.” – Jared
So if you’ve ever wept in an airport Chili’s or nearly fought a stranger over outlet access, you’re not broken. You’re just neurochemically overwhelmed.
That’s where prepaving comes in.
Abraham Hicks fans will love this part: instead of focusing on traffic, bad weather, or the cousin who insists on driving through New York City at 5 p.m., you set your intention early.
“Choosing the high-flying disc means prioritizing the feeling of enjoyment over micromanaging the itinerary.” – Jared
Visualize ease. Pack joy with your socks. Whisper affirmations into your carry-on if you must.
And yes, snacks count as spiritual tools. (More on that later.)
Alicia told a story that can only be described as “delightful chaos meets manifestation jackpot.”
She went to a Weird Al concert, decided in advance it would be epic… and got randomly upgraded to VIP, snagged free merch, and yes—took a selfie with Weird Al himself.
“Blurry, starstruck, but sacred.” – Alicia
“That selfie probably has some serious energy.” – Jared
It’s the ultimate example of prepaving turning into pre-partying.
Meanwhile, Jared missed a flight because of a soft pretzel. Oops!
But instead of spiraling, he met an indie game developer who completely changed how he sees storytelling, emotional intelligence, and decision-making.
“Trust the pretzel. Sometimes a weird nudge leads to something unexpectedly meaningful.” – Jared
Put it on a shirt. Or better yet, in your next affirmation.
The episode includes a beautiful short meditation that guides you through “packing your vibe” before a trip.
You’re not just bringing underwear and portable chargers—you’re bringing ease, joy, and flexibility. And yes, a snack that never lets you down.
“Visualize yourself moving forward with support, with ease, with calm readiness.” – Alicia
Pair it with deep breaths, and you’ll be pre-boarding on Cloud Nine.
This episode also launches a new mini-segment: Manifestation Debug Mode, where Alicia and Jared troubleshoot common vibrational bugs.
This week’s bug:
“If I expect ease, am I just setting myself up for disappointment?”
Spoiler: Nope. Expecting ease isn’t about controlling the weather—it’s about choosing how you feel, no matter what the forecast says.
As Alicia puts it:
“It’s like choosing a playlist. The songs might shuffle, but you set the vibe.”
Jared and Alicia’s travel toolkit includes:
Because alignment can be packed. And sometimes, your best guide is a granola bar.
