We’ve all had those nights—your body’s tired, your room’s quiet, but your brain? Still throwing a full-blown emotional rave at 2AM.
In this episode of Vibrations and Manifestations, we’re talking about momentum—not the physics class kind, but the Abraham Hicks kind. Specifically, how negative thought momentum can keep us awake, spiraling in loops we can’t seem to escape… and how to gently turn that train around.
Jared opens the episode with a personal story that many of us can relate to:
“I had a disagreement earlier in the day. Nothing major, but my mind just latched onto it. Words, feelings, the whole thing just kept replaying. It was like a loop—emotional discomfort’s greatest hits.”
Alicia responds with what we’re all thinking:
“We’ve all been there, right? Those mental loops, especially when you desperately want to sleep.”
So what do you do when your mind won’t stop spinning?
Jared shares that he reached for a familiar calming tool: a Michael Sealey self-hypnosis audio on YouTube.
“I put that on just trying to give my brain something else to focus on. It helped. Eventually, I drifted off.”
He woke up later with the same thoughts—so he did it again. And while it didn’t magically fix everything, it gave him enough space to breathe.
Alicia offers a key teaching from Abraham Hicks:
“Sleep is the great resetter. Meditation is the gentle brake pedal.”
This episode doesn’t stop at spiritual advice. Jared and Alicia dig into the science of sleeplessness, too:
“It’s not just a feeling,” Jared explains. “There’s measurable brain activity happening—your DMN gets overactive, cortisol floods in, and you’re stuck in a loop.”
Thankfully, tools like guided meditation, self-hypnosis, and even a simple mantra like “I don’t need to figure this out right now” can start to calm the system.
Meditation helps by:
“You’re not being dramatic,” Jared says. “You’re being biologically strategic.”
Then, Alicia and Jared walk listeners through one of the most helpful Law of Attraction techniques: the Next Best Feeling Thought.
“You don’t leap from ‘I can’t pay my bills’ to ‘I’m a millionaire,’” Jared says. “Instead, you go from ‘I’ve figured things out before’ to ‘I’m resourceful’ to ‘I’m doing the best I can.’”
Each small shift slows the momentum of fear and helps you build momentum toward peace.
The episode includes a full guided meditation and rampage of appreciation—perfect for bedtime or any time you need a reset.
Here’s a preview:
“I appreciate this quiet moment. I appreciate my breath. I appreciate my body for everything it does without me even asking.”
“I like how it feels to feel just a little bit better. I trust that better-feeling thoughts are already reaching for me.”
This isn’t about pretending everything is perfect. It’s about letting go of resistance just enough to rest. To float. To feel okay again.
