Have you ever heard the joke about the two young fish?
They’re swimming along when they pass an older fish going the other way. The older fish nods and says, “How’s the water?” The young fish look at each other, confused, and ask, “What’s water?”
It’s a funny little parable, but it also reveals something profound about human nature—we often deny or ignore the very environment that shapes us.
We live in a world where people proudly say, “I only believe in hard science,” dismissing things like astrology and numerology as mere superstition. But here’s the irony—science itself tells us that we are constantly influenced by our surroundings.
The moon moves the tides, and we are 60% water. The sun dictates our sleep cycles and energy levels. The seasons shift our moods and behaviors. Even without belief in astrology, we cannot deny that planetary bodies affect life on Earth.
And yet, many people refuse to entertain the possibility that cosmic forces influence human experience. They swim in the “water” of the universe, unaware that they are soaking in it.

Now, I know—you can’t please everyone. But it made me wonder: Why do some people reject these ideas so strongly? Why do they dismiss the environment they live in, the cycles they experience daily, and the unseen but undeniable influences shaping their lives?
That thumbs-down didn’t discourage me; it inspired me. Because the truth is, whether someone believes in these forces or not, they are still swimming in them.
If we want to thrive, we have to start recognizing the “water” around us. Instead of dismissing astrology, numerology, or energetic influences outright, why not approach them with curiosity?
Observe how lunar cycles affect your energy.
Notice how certain times of year bring different challenges or inspirations.
Pay attention to patterns and synchronicities in your life.
You don’t have to believe in magic to recognize that the universe is a system of cycles, rhythms, and energies—and we are part of it. The more we understand these forces, the more we can use them to our advantage.
After all, the stars don’t require your belief to shine, the tides don’t need your approval to rise and fall, and gravity doesn’t check your faith before keeping you grounded.
